“Dick Donkeys Dawn, a whirling dervish of a documentary, cut fast and full of strange, demented, decadent people. It was hilariously entertaining”
Ken Russell – 2004.

Dick Donkeys Dawn made their live debut in October 1997 at the John D Rockefeller centre in Oslo, as part of 'Visual Artists Live on Stage', presented by Galleri Struts. Performances quickly followed in Berlin and venues across Austria. Between 1997 and 1999, they produced songs, videos and live performances. The DVD ‘Dick Donkeys Dawn – remixes by Dick’ features videos of live and recorded material and a documentary, shortlisted for the Ken Russell Short Film Award in 2004. Their final performance was in December 1998 at the Technical University in Graz, Austria and they imploded shortly after.
