For 'The Hair of the Dog' exhibition, Sean Dower and Guy Bar Amotz re-staged the 'The Mobile DJ', a performance previously presented at Delfina Studios, London in 2005. The work takes its name from a toy instrument, which contains basic preprogrammed audio loops and samples and is used in the performance.

The performance was recorded in the gallery space at Block 336 without an audience, who then witnessd it via video documentation and residual artefacts. Alongside the abandoned set, props and costumes, a light show created live during the performance also plays back in the space, perfectly in sync with the lighting in the video. The sound from the performance plays through Guy Bar Amotz' ’Mochilero' backpack sound system, which the performers wore on their backs. The ’Mobile DJ (2012 remix)' harnessed techniques of expanded cinema to retain an uncanny sense of being live or present in the absense of performers.Exhibited through October 2012 at Block 336
