MONUMENTAL GUNS AND THEIR TARGETS - 2022

A survey of publicly sited cannons in Greater London and the targets they would strike if fired.

All the cannons and artillery included in this survey are actual, historic weapons, located in Greater London and freely accessible to the public.
The hypothetical strike point for each weapon has been calculated using ballistics information for standard shells, that takes into account the location, orientation, altitude and air-drag at the time of observation. The imagined strike points are roughly centred in the accompanying photograph that pairs with that of each gun.

The photographs are included in the publication 'Monumental Guns and Their Targets'. 62 pairs of photographs (124 in total).
