It was hilariously entertaining” Ken Russell, 2004 click images above for slideshow ‘Dick Donkeys Dawn’ was formed in 1997 by Dick, Donkey and Dawn Brown. Between 1997 and 1999, they produced songs, live performances and videos. Their live debut was at the Rockafeller Music Hall in Oslo in October 1997, for 'Visual Artists Live on Stage'. Performances followed in Berlin and venues across Austria. Their second set of songs were performed in Europe during 1998, when they also produced the 3D video for Boon and Mills in Vienna. The limited edition DVD ‘Dick Donkeys Dawn - remixes by Dick’ was released in 2004 and featured live recordings, music videos and the documentary The Story of Dick Donkeys Dawn, was shortlisted for the Ken Russell Short Film Award in 2004. The 3D video for 'Boon and Mills' was exhibited in: 'Video Hits, Art and Music Video' at Queensland Art Gallery, Australia in 2004.
